Kona Process 153 CR 29

$1400 USD
Selling a 2019 Kona Process 153 carbon 29er. Was Kona's enduro bike when it came out in 2019 (replaced by the Process X later), this bike is part of the vaunted G2 line of Process bikes from Kona. Second year of the 29er 153, first year of the carbon. Bike is wicked fun - pedals great up and around and then eats up terrain on the downhills. The carbon front triangle keeps it light and spritely, which is great for active, poppy riders. I ride a lot of local XC on it, but it can also handle summit laps at Burke, all the Victory Hill terrain, and the best of what Cranmore can throw at it. Spec/upgrades: 160mm RockShox Lyrik with 2021 DebonAir spring 153mm RockShox Super Deluxe with a MegNeg can to increase positive air volume. Makes the bike really supple off the top, but still with a lot of ramp and bottom out capability. 175mm KS droppper + KS lever (different than photographed - had a OneUp at the time) Shimano XT 12sp shifter Shimano SLX 12sp rear derailleur SRAM XO 12sp cassette SRAM Guide R brakes (the older model with the Bleeding Edge ports) Deity saddle SRAM NX cranks (these are originals) SRAM 30T Eagle chainring (new fall 2023) Stan's Flow rims with rear laced to a Project321 hub Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR2 Exo+ tire combo ODI grips RaceFace carbon bars at 780mm (I think - might still be 800mm - haven't measured in a while) No pedals, but I can throw in some composite Kona Wah Wah pedals for $30 I also upgraded to the carbon rocker link that Kona put into the 2021 line of Process 153s. Slightly lighter and a slightly different kinematic, I believe? More info on the bike here: https://archive.konaworld.com/archive/2019/process_153_cr_29.cfm

Kona Big Honzo carbon 29er size L

$1750 USD
Selling a 2020 Kona Big Honzo CR. Size large, set up as a 29er. Bike came as 27.5+ and those wheels/tires will be thrown in as well. Lots of upgrades - Race Face Next carbon bars (800mm, can cut down); ODI Elite Flow grips (mix/match colorways); X01 cassette on Stan's Flow MK3 29er rear wheel with a freshly rebuilt Neo hub. Front 29er rim is a WTB Team i29. Chain replaced midway through 2022 season. SDG saddle. Currently has Panaracer tires + tubes for spring dirt road cruising, but will throw in Maxxis Minion DHF and Aggressor combo + tubeless valves. Fork: RockShox Pike Select 130mm Drivetrain: GX eagle R/D, GX shifter, 32T Eagle front ring, and X01 cassette Brakes: Guide Ts Dropper: TransX, 150mm For $1750 you get: a sweet carbon hardtail with enough travel to rally, while remaining light enough to race some, an extra set of aggressive 29er tires, and an additional set of 27.5" wheels + tires (2.8" Minion DHFs). I even played around with running the 29er rim in the front and the 27.5" rim in the back, mounted to a 2.6" DHF. The hardtail mullet was a fun experiment, especially if you ride a lot of really tight, janky singletrack. Bike does not come with pedals.

The Pinkbike Podcast: Episode 42 - Mountain Biking's Guilty Pleasures
@sarahmoore: I love when you bring up XC skiing on the pod. Skinny skis don't get much love, especially in the action sports world, so it's fun to hear about rad riders who appreciate spandex and uphills. XC skiing actually introduced me to mountain biking and there's a rich history of folks excelling at both. Carl Swenson, Nathan Schultz, and Evelyn Dong all raced at the top of the XC ski scene and mountain bike scene. Carl spent summers racing NORBA for the Gary Fischer team, I think, before switching to World Cup XC skiing in the winter. Wild. Pretty sure the legendary Adam Craig raced pretty high level junior XC skiing as a kid in New England. Y'all Canadians have 2010 Olympian Gord Jewett who was pretty sick at both XC disciplines.

First time leaving a comment to give Sarah props for watching XC ski racing. I'm a longtime XC ski racer and I love the sport even though I know it's pretty inaccessible and boring. The commenter advocating for biathlon ain't wrong. All the skiing with more drama and far better production quality. Unpopular opinion: watching most XC skiing is more fun than most World Tour cycling. Sprints on skis skis > bunch sprint finishes on skinny tires.
