@renodj:Did I say I wanted the industry to rush into a set of "standards"? My truck takes an 8 x 165 wheel bolt pattern. I know that if I buy a set of wheels that states they are 8 x 165, they will fit my truck "standards" I do not expect that every 8 bolt wheel will fit my truck, nor do i think there is any real "need" for them to. I think the company that builds the truck can decide on what to use. If they feel its important to use a more commonly used bolt pattern, great. If not, great. This is how I feel about "standards" A company should do what they think is the right thing for them, if that means using an existing platform, and marketing that as a FaB, great. If they think that their solution warrants something proprietary, great. I as the consumer can choose to spend my money where I feel I am getting the most benefit, understanding that everything is a compromise of some sort.. That seems pretty easy to me
