Doing Science: We Measured the Vibration Damping of 8 Handlebars

As an older rider past mid 50s now, I started to notice that my body was getting more and more sensitive to contact points and position not quite being spot on - sore elbows, numb fingers etc. I now ride exclusively with Renthal carbon light 31.8 bars and Oury grips and have no nmb fingers or elbow pain even on all day rides. So its nice to see that there seems to be some correlation with your lab experiments and my on-the-bike feeling. Ive also gone carbon on my road bike with Silca bar tape and while its not perfect, its a lot better than my alloy setup with standard bar tape (even when I had gel inserts and mostly double-taped bars)
