VALT Spring – 57mm/2.25in x 500lbs

$50 USD
I unfortunately bought this hoping to upgrade to a coil shock, but my frame will not support it. My loss, your gain. Save $30 for a brand new 500LB spring and I'll ship at my expense. Here is a link to the product: https://canecreek.com/product/valt-spring-2-25in-x-500lbs-aad1765/ In case you need an entire shock, I have a brand new Cane Creek BD Coil IL shock for sale as well: https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/3642135/

Cane Creek DB Coil IL – 200 x 57mm (7.875 x 2.25")

$275 USD
Unfortunately I cannot use a coil shock on my my Ibis Mojo HD3 frame which I didn't know when I bought this earlier this year. Save $40 and buy a brand new shock from me and I'll ship at my expense. Here is a link to the product page for details. https://canecreek.com/product/db-coil-il-200-x-57mm-black-bad1741k/ I also have a 500lb spring I can include for an additional $50 (also brand new) to pair with this shock. Cane Creek Valt. You will need to source mounting hardware for your frame and a spring which is easy to do from the Cane Creek website.

Shellburg is an older freeride area that is not maintained as well as blackrock. Blackrock came later and draws most of the riders so Shellburg isn't used like it once was. If you do go to Shellburg my favorite trail is Bullet. Shellburg also has some xc trails. I ride Shellburg a couple times of year whereas I visit blackrock about once a month. I also ride quite a bit out in Dallas which is more xc riding (no structures, etc). You can ride out there year round. Some of the local trail organizations are building a new trail out in Silver Falls and involving the IMBA so I have a lot of hopes for this development. The nice thing about living in Salem is that within a 2 hour driving radius there are several epic areas to ride.

Check out Tiddlywinks, Funner, and Tyler's Traverse... You won't regret it. You could also check out upper/lower whoops which is a lot of fun to ride too. There are a couple shops that shuttle riders up to the trails from town and make sure to pick up a trail map. They are excellent and will come in handy. If you still have time you could run a half day up at Mt. Bachelor and benefit from the ski lift so you'll have all the downhill flow you can squeeze in. Have fun!
