i've used same tensioner with hone double on my old mini dh bike which has 6 inch travel. a small part was broken during riding but i fixed it and haven't had any problem until i sold it. it worked great and the chain never came off. that's why i chose it again for my new bike. it's important to use the parts as they're supposed to work but it doesn't mean we have to do it. sam uses juicy ultimates and dt ex1750 on his downhill bike. gee somtimes uses fox f100 on his 4x bike depending on the courses. so it's more about personal riding style and the trails where they ride.

didn't have any other choices cuz i could get the whole wheelsets for really cheap price i'm a light and easy rider and the spokes are very thick. may have no problem i'll keep them as long as they are in good shape the chain tesioner is made by paul comp. it allows to run 2 front chainrings with finger derailleur. no need to have derailleur or chain guide. light, cheap and less maintenance that's all i want
