The first ever winter enduro race had its premiere in the vicinity of Prague around the Slapy Dam. Blinduro Winter is a one-day event without training, for pure bikers, in any weather, who are not afraid of any challenge. 5 stages, 26 kilometres and nearly 1000 vertical metres tested many of the 250 competitors. The winter weather did not hold in the end, the weather outside was more like a spring day, but the stages were slightly muddy and soggy after the evening rain.

"This year my Blinduro races are entering their eighth season and I wanted to try a winter version of the race. Just to try something different. This event is for pure bikers and I'm glad that the weather was actually more spring-like than the classic winter. For some of the competitors the circuit was on the edge of their winter preparation, and if I imagine that the temperature was around zero with light snow, then it could have been a very long day for some. I tried to make the stages with as much flow as possible to keep going even in bad weather, and the difficulty of each stage gradually increased. Judging by the feedback during and immediately after the race, everyone liked the concept of a Blinduro Winter. I'm glad everyone enjoyed it and had an easy race this early." added race director Michal Prokop.

The overall winner Adam Maxa, riding for Rock Machine, also had a few words to say about the race. "The first time I heard about the plans for the Blinduro Zima race, I was looking forward to it. I had never raced in winter before, so I didn't know what to expect from the race. Racing in the winter is an ideal way to see if the winter preparation was good, what to tweak and what to train. The conditions were good and we were all able to enjoy the slightly more brisk stages which had a super flow. The Blinduro Winter again kept its "non-racing" atmosphere and formed a great community of people."

"I thought that the race would be only for local riders, but in the end it turned out that there were riders from all over the Czech Republic, Poland or Germany. I would like to turn this event into such a winter tradition, but we will evaluate everything according to the survey among riders. It took me almost two months of work to prepare the individual stages and I can't wait to ride the trails after the race." added Prokop
