Danny MacAskill, Martin Soderstrom, Richie Schley, Rachel and Dan Atherton, Marc Beaumont and Kenny Belaey –
could be an excerpt of the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame! All of these illustrious riders have one thing in common except mountain biking: They are riding Continental tires. Dan, Danny, Kenny and the rest of the Conti-gang were invited by theGerman tire manufacturer to visit the production site in Korbach and to witness how much effort is put in a tire “hand made in Germany”. Of course, such a prominent gathering deserves to be caught on video. Watch it on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06QNIjNzqco Continental is among the few producers that have remained faithful to the production site Germany. At the plant in Korbach, high quality tires are still hand crafted. Continental athletes Danny MacAskill, Martin Soderstrom, Dan and Rachel Atherton, Marc Beaumont, Richie Schley and Kenny Belaey were able to assure themselves about their partner’s work during a factory visit at Central Germany’s Korbach.
The “League of extraordinary Mountain Bike Athletes” was inducted into the secrets of the labor intensive production of the Continental mountain bike tires and were even allowed to lend a hand: Trial superstar Danny MacAskill got his very own Danny MacAskill prototype 24" trials tire, which is especially adjusted to the extreme demands of street trial riding.
Danny about his new tire: „Unbelievable to see my very own Continental tire! I was looking forward to this day for a while, but even more excited about to ride it for the first time! Continental took a lot of trouble to create perfect grip conditions for my bike!”
Swedish freeride pro Martin Soderstrom and British downhill queen Rachel Atherton could prove their talents in producing tires as well and pressed a few Continental tires themselves.
All this enforced by some action-packed scenes of Martin Soderstrom’s performance at last year’s Red Bull District Ride, Danny’s “Way Back Home” as well as some stunning Atherton and Beaumont downhill runs makes the clip absolutely worth watching on YouTube:

To give you a little hint: It is related to four tires and lots of horsepower.
