May 30, 2018Norco Six SE (Large)
$400 GBPUp for sale is my old Norco Six SE, bought in Canada in 2008 when freeride was everything and hucking to flat was cool.
It's a heavy beast, so not all that great to pedal uphill (though it can!) but send it off a jump or drop and it'll handle it like a champ. It's seen plenty of action so the shock is in need of a service and the frame shows signs of wear, hence the bargain price.
Also comes with a few bonus extras including the original posh Mavic Crossmax wheelset and other bits to make longer rides and even riding uphill possible.
Looking for £400ono, no swaps. Collection only, I'm based in Bristol but visit Taunton often at weekends so could meet there if it's more convenient.
Large 'Champagne Silver' aluminium frame
Fox DHX5 Air rear shock (165mm travel)
Rockshox Lyrik U-Turn coil fork (adjustable 160-100mm travel)
SRAM X0 shifters (2x9 speed)
SRAM X7 rear mech
Shimano XTR front mech
Avid Juicy 7 brakes
DH wheelset (Mavic EX325 rims, Formula hubs)
Stubby seatpost + saddle
Plus the extra bits:
Mavic Crossmax SX wheelset + spare spokes
Maxxis High Roller tyres
Telescopic seat post
Big 2.7" front tyre (Kenda Nevegal)

Nice stuff! My favourite bit:
Marshal: "Rider down!"
Rider: "I'm not down!"

It's shot on slide film (Fujichrome Velvia 50) so what you're seeing is the edge of the slide as it's been scanned in. It's also why the colours are so vibrant, as this particular film gives highly saturated colours. Not that you probably wanted to know, but there you go.
Today's lesson was brought to you by the letter G and the number 9.

Simply Downhill - Wentwood Wales
Where's the best place to find out about events like these? I only ever seem to find out about them after they're done and I really want to get taking photos of races... Southerndownhill.com forums?
Oh, and despite my flag I'm not in Canada anymore. At least physically :(
