Destination Showcase: Nelson, New Zealand with Katy Winton, Joe Nation & Rae Morrison
I got ‘stuck’ in Nelson for 2 months a couple of years back during a trip as I was broke. Worked on a vineyard to make some money, shredded the trails the rest of the time. Such a great time of my life, always loved doing the Richmond trails and Peaking Ridge. Kill Devil trail was pretty awesome as well, along with Canaan Downs, etc

[Updated] Mountain Biker Attacked by Grizzly Bear Near Big Sky, Montana
Any experience on here from European perspective, where you can’t use bear spray or other weapons as it’s illegal to carry. Just interested as will be riding in areas with bears, etc in the Balkans next year.

Living the Dream in NZ: Travelling with Bikes and a Campervan
Aw man, I don’t usually comment on stuff, but this brings back so many memories. A couple of years ago I went to NZ for 6 months, roadtripping around with my bike in the back of a car I bought in Auckland. Incredible biking everywhere, especially loved Nelson, Port Hills, Alexandra/Clyde, Wellington, Rainbow Mountain in Taupo, Rude Rock and Skippers Canyon. Wish I got to ride the full length of Old Ghost Road though Climbing Mt Taranaki for my 30th was pretty bloody cool! Awesome photos btw

Trek Session 88 DH M

$400 GBP
Hello, I've decided to sell my Trek Session 88 DH as I don't really ride DH anymore and need to make space before moving house. The bike is a 2009 model (The best looking one in my opinion) with custom build. As you would expect from a bike this age there are a couple of cosmetic scratches/ rubs on the frame, rims, forks and handlebars. There is also a dent on the downtube, which was there when I bought the bike second hand. It hasn't affected the handling and is structurally sound. The forks and rear shock will require a good overhaul, including replacement of one fork upper frame protector. The action is still pretty good though. Frame pivot bearings were replaced a couple of years ago, but it hasn't been ridden much since then. Gears work well with smooth shifting, although a new cassette and chain is likely needed. The front brake leaks fluid at the caliper, so a new front disc brake will be required. Good solid wheels although the front hub bearings have a bit of play so will need replacing. Specification is as follows: Trek Session 88 DH - 2009 Model Rock Shox Boxxer Forks Fox DX 5.0 Rear Shock Shimano Saint Cranks and SM BB 80 bottom bracket Sram X9 Shifter and Rear Mech Sram 9 Speed Road Cassette Avid Elixir CR Disc Brakes - 200mm Rotors Nukeproof Seatpost Charge Saddle Nukeproof Generator Rims on Hope Pro 2 Hubs - 26" Nukeproof Warhead Handlebars Sunline Direct Mount Stem This would make an ideal project for someone who wants to revive a classic. Local pick up only If you have any questions please feel free to ask
