Oct 25, 2020Evil Faction
$500 GBPEvil Faction Mountain Bike. Condition is "Used". Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class.
These are getting really rare now and are an extremely accomplished hardcore hardtail MTB. Great for anything from skills parks to pump tracks to dirt jumps and BMX tracks. Size is L.
I had this frame for a couple of years before building it up as a bit of a beginners 'do anything' bike for my other half who never really fitted it and used it only a couple of times. I held on to it as I love the brand and the frames great array of features but now it's time to sell.
Spec:
Frame: Evil Faction
Fork: Marzocchi Bomber WC
Wheels: Nukeproof
Drivetrain: Shimano XT/SLX mix
Chainwheel: Renthal
Post: Nukeproof dropper
Saddle: Chromag
Bar/stem: Renthal alloy
Grips: ODI
Brakes: Shimano XT
Headset: Blank BMX
Pedals: Gusset
Tyres: Halo
About the frame:
The sub 6Ib frame, heat treated, triple butted 4130 cromoly frame features Campy style integrated headtube, ISCG 05 chain guide mounts and Evil's legendary HVS dropouts. HVS dropouts allow for precision adjustment of chainstay length without compromising shifting or brake set-up, all with the added security of vertical wheel entry to keep the wheel from slipping.

Jan 19, 2017Scott Gambler (ex-Brendan Fairclough)
$2100 GBP2015 Scott Gambler DH bike, ex-Brendan Fairclough Gstaad Scott Factory bike
This bike is one of Fairclough’s ex-practice bikes so hasn’t been raced. I bought it from him at the end of the 2015 season. The frame comes complete with all the team graphics but there are paint chips here and there. These never really bothered me as there are no dents or gouges out of the actual metal underneath and they add a bit of patina. The pics don’t really do the bike justice as it’s a bright neon orange in the flesh.
The Gambler offers the ability to swap between chainstay lengths and low/high BB heights. The custom headset adds a degree to the head angle but increases cockpit length by 9mm. I’m 6’1 and it feels spot on for me but if you were a touch shorter and wanted to go slacker then that’s a possibility.
Frame: Size Large (with custom +9mm +1deg headset cups)
Fork: Fox Racing Shox 40 Float Kashima fork
Shock: Fox Racing Shox Float X2 (newly serviced by Mojo, has had the airsleeve recall)
Wheels: DT Swiss FR
Brakes: Shimano Saint (2 x 203mm rotors, rear caliper is Zee but on a Saint lever)
Chain device: E*Thirteen LG1
Groupset: Shimano Saint (Ultrega chain)
Seat/post: Syncros carbon fibre
Stem/bars: Deity Locust (50/55mm adjustable) stem and Deity Black Label 25 bars (787mm, uncut)
Grips: DMR DeathGrips (camo)
Tyres: Custom-cut Dirty Dan Super Gravity's
Extras: Bike comes with a spare set of Schwalbe Magic Mary Super Gravity’s, full factory spares pack (axle, mech hangar, wheelbase chips, shock hardware), prototype pair of black DMR DeathGrips, full set of Tisprings.com titanium bolts used across the bike (black).
When I got the bike it was in great mechanical condition and I've kept that up - it's always been cleaned and looked after properly. There are no sloppy bearings or draggy brake pads; it could be raced tomorrow. There are cheaper Gambler’s out there but this is a full-factory race machine capable of taking on the harshest UCI World Cup DH tracks out there and was formerly owned by the man/dog himself.
Collection preferred but can post (UK only). UK buyers only. No swaps. No PX. No silly offers.

Jun 30, 2015Santa Cruz 5010 C Solo
$1000 GBPFor sale is a Santa Cruz Solo (later called '5010') carbon fibre mountain bike frame.
This is undoubtedly the most fun trail bike I've ever owned and am reluctant to be selling it on. For a short travel (125mm) bike it's incredibly capable and is as happy on sinewy singletrack as it is on full-on enduro stages.
I've fitted a set of Burgtec offset shock bushings to make it a bit slacker than standard which adds to the playful nature. The regular bushings will be included in the sale and it's a five minute job to swap them out. Also included is a Santa Cruz bike grease gun which can be used to purge the old grease from the links via the bleed nipples.
The shock is a Fox Racing Shox Factory Series Float CTD Kashima. Also included in the sale is the Hope Mix N' Match headset which has no play in it at all and is perfectly suited to the kind of riding that this bike is intended for. The rear axle and Santa Cruz QR seat collar are also included.
The paint is in really good condition with only the very occasional blemish but nothing that has penetrated deeper than the paint itself. There is however a larger chip out of the bottom of the rear triangle, down from the link bolt. It is just paint however and in no way will affect performance.
Full specs on the frame are avilable at;http://www.santacruzbicycles.com/en/uk/5010
UK buyers only. NO SWAPS OR TRADES. Payment preferred via Paypal but collection (from Lockerbie) is also possible, can travel within reason too.

Jun 28, 2015Devinci Wilson Carbon RC
$1650 GBPExtremely clean Devinci Wilson Carbon RC downhill bike in XL.
I've owned the bike from new since the beginning of last summer but work commitments mean that she's now sadly up for sale.
I changed the wheels to an older set I had so the stock Jalco wheelset that is on it now has only had a day's riding on it from new. Upgrades over standard include;
- RockShox Charger damper upgrade. Professionally fitted by The Trailhead in Shrewsbury, this £300 damper offers up similar feel and performance to the unit found in the brand's revolutionary Pike single crown fork and has transformed front end feel and grip. The standard damper is included in the sale.
- Avid Elixir Trail 7 brakes. The bike came with Elixir 5's as standard but they didn't have quite enough power for a DH bike so I swapped them for a set of Elixir Trail 7's. These are 4-pot calipers and a lot better suited to the job (£240).
- Maxxis Shorty 3C tyres. A superb 'half spike' tyre great for just about any UK conditions. The rear tyre is showing signs of wear but will easily last the rest of the year (£120).
- Renthal cockpit. I swapped the standard controls for a Renthal Fatbar (780mm wide, 30mm rise), a Duo DH stem and LockOn Kevlar grips.
The full standard spec and geometry is available at;
http://www.devinci.com/bikes/bike_619_scategory_151
The bike has never been raced and has only been ridden at proper uplifts with decent trailers so is free of any major dents or dings. A crash has scuffed the bar and rear brake lever slightly but not enough to affect performance. There's also a scuff at the base of the left hand leg of the fork but again, it's just cosmetic.
This is a great chance to own a clean, honest Wilson. A bike with UCI World Cup winning pedigree in superb condition with performance and value adding upgrades.
Needs to go so (SENSIBLE) offers welcome. Will not break down the frame and no trades. Can travel within reason.
