Too Long? Too Slack? Not Enough? – Pinkbike Poll
Agreed. The two worst crashes of my life were the result of a super low bb, hitting my pedal and being high-sided into the trees at mach speed. No Bueno. If you need to pedal that bb better be up a little bit. BB> 11.5" plus the rear travel divided by 3 seems to work for me for trail bikes. So 13.5" for a 6" bike, 13.2" for a 5" bike...

Ask Pinkbike: Mismatched Suspension Travel, and Quieting Chainslap
@Trailstunter: This is what I do with every SRAM derailluer because the clutch will eventually loosen up. I use a dental tool to remove the top cap, then a #8 hex to tighten the clutch. Beware that the newer clutches have a pin driven into them to prevent you from doing this (to honor the shimano patent) but you can easily remove the pin. Just hammer it out with a die or a small eyeglasses screwdriver, so that its sticking out from the casing a bit, then pull it out with some pliers.

Excellent condition, custom built in July so 1/2 of a season on it. Have not ridden it this year. Pike RS 160 Reverb stealth 125 XX1 derailleur with new X01 cassette and shifter New x1 chain Race face turbine cinch cranks with 32t narrow wide chainring (new) Rhythm pro carbon bars with 35mm straight line stem and ESI grips FSA headset Guide RS brakes 200mm front 180mm rear RS monarch plus debonair rear shock Wtb volt pro saddle Stans Arch EX wheels (trail wheels) Can sub Stans flow ex laced to hope evo pro 2 hubs for $150 more (bike park wheels) Can sub the next SL Carbon cranks for $150 more and can shave 1/2 pound. I also have RF atlas stem and 35mm aluminum bars you can sub over the carbon ones if you prefer Bike is in perfect condition and has been meticulously maintained by and engineer. Pivot bearings were all just replaced this month. Both the fork and shock were serviced this winter. Brakes were bled this month. Seat post was bled and is working flawlessly with no play. All the usual rub and scratch spots have been covered with guerrilla tape since day 1. The only cosmetic blemishes are on the fork crown (from my bike rack) and on the rear drop out. Bike weighs 29 pounds as shown without pedals. Pedals in photo not included. I won't describe the performance because there are plenty of reviews out there - it is simply the best bike I have owned - carbon bikes included. The 4 modes give you 4 different bikes in one with one being a mini DH bike. The designers really spent a lot of time figuring the kinematics and it shows. I'm selling because I have a baby girl and that is about the only thing more important than mountain biking...

2014 RS Monarch Plus Debonair RC3 216x63 Medium Tune Excellent Condition and shaft is perfect This shock shared time on my Yeti Sb66 with a float - so not even a full season on it Recent air sleeve service and new seals - probably 4 rides on it after the service Sold the yeti so no need for this shock any more
