@eicca: you know you can unscrew the end of the fillmore with a hex key to clean them out? you can't change the valve without unseating the tyre, but at least the valve shouldn't be a complete right off!

The tyre is an order of magnitude less stiff than the bars and has a lot more mass on it so will be doing the bulk of the work with regards to vibration attenuation!

@justanotherusername: I think most people are forging cranks from a 6 series aluminium. The jump from 6-7 series gets you the fatigue strength of a 6 without the processing cost of forging in low volume.

24 MTB Cranks Ranked According to Stiffness
@overconfident: it's worth noting Shimano was the worst on non drive side stiffness. This is the path that transmits torque through the axle. They have leading drive side stiffness which suggests stiff crank arm, flexy spindle.
That said I ride Shimano cranks and I'm not sufficiently tuned as a human to be able to notice....
