Experts (really, that's the name)
one dead tree, broken brake lever and one lucky bastardBasically I went way too fast into a section of trail and had no chance of making the flat/elevated corner. Flew off the trail, smashed through a dead tree (half of which is hidden by the drop-off) and luckily came out of it with nothing close to serious. If that tree was alive, I probably wouldn't be.

Experts (not kidding)
one dead tree, broken brake lever and one lucky bastardBasically I went way too fast into a section of trail and had no chance of making the flat/elevated corner. Flew off the trail, smashed through a dead tree and luckily came out of it with nothing close to serious. You can see my tire marks on the edge of the trail just to give you an idea of my trajectory just before annihilation. If that tree was alive, I probably wouldn't be. That's the trunk near the top of my bike. Oh and the tree originally was next to the trail like the one on the corner... just a few feet outta the photo's frame. whoops.
