27 years old, been riding for 16 years... still never pulled my finger out my arse and organised a trip to Whistler. That HAS to change for next year!

May 18, 2016Mongoose Thunderball
$200 GBPFor sale is my 2005 Mongoose Thunderball.
Spec as follows:
2005 Mongoose Thunderball frame - paint condition is poor with heavy foot rub on one of the chainstays and chips/scratches throughout, the frame is not dented or cracked anywhere and otherwise mechanically sound.
2005 Fox Talas RLC - 80-125mm travel, TALAS cartridge is functioning perfectly along with compression and rebound damping however the lockout doesn't seem to work, these forks were serviced before I purchased them in January and although the lowers are a bit scratched, the stanchions are perfect and all seals are intact with no weeping or leaks.
Insane rims on unbranded hubs - both wheels run pretty true with no flat spots or dings and spoke tension is good, both wheels are shod with Maxxis Holy Roller tyres with plenty of tread left. Rear hub has been converted to a nutted axle and front is QR with a Halo allen skewer fitted.
Truvativ cranks with Howitzer BB - cranks are straight and free from wobble or play, BB is brand new. 32t chainring and nylon bashring fitted with a 14t singlespeed kit fitted to rear wheel (also brand new)
Avid Elixir brake - freshly bled, good pads and straight rotor, works perfectly and in good cosmetic condition.
Brand new Nukeproof Sam Hill signature bars (30mm rise, 760mm wide) fitted to a Raceface 50mm stem and clad in brand new Macneil Zoomer BMX grips.
other finishing kit includes an unbranded seatpost and clamp, seatpost has enough length to facilitate raising the seat enough to sit and pedal comfortably and has a WTB Silverado seat fitted.
Although the cosmetic condition of the frame and fork is far from perfect, the bike is in good running order and rides well, I just ride my DH bike more so can't justify keeping it.
