The same is true of College athletes and Monster sponsored events, so redbull is not the only organization making money hand over fist off of the backs, sweat and broken bones of teen and twenty year old athletes. Athletes who have no concept of growing old with a broken body that does not work that they have to live with for the rest of their lives not some suit in the redbull corporate office that is laughing all the way to the bank.

You very seldom hear about the 20 year old paraplegic who has to eat through a tube for the rest of his life because he hucked off a 70 ft stepdown and augered in. At least not after the initial coverage by redbull sponsored video.
You seldom see redbull promoting videos of the months to years of surgery, rehab, physical therapy, and eventual recovery to basic life. Now if they actually get back to race status you might see it Usually they are the few that have access, money or insurance.

I have been wondering more and more lately what happens to the athletes who do not finish or more specifically those who are seriously injured in these competitions and events. More and more it seems that these events are leaving young athletes in the prime of their careers and lives broken and in debt only to be cast aside and abandoned for whoever is currently on the podium or in the limelight.

So far at almost every redbull affiliated event i have ever seen someone will inevitably auger in and at the very least break something. Redbull and other sponsors should be taking responsibility for their actions and at the very least step up and provide specific coverage for the people involved in the events.
