Sep 15, 2011Specialized p2 CR-MO DJ
$275 USDHere is a 2007 Specialized P.2 Cr-Mo
Used at local trails and jumps around San Diego, so there are scratches here and there. Size is long and fits me at 5'9". Then again, it is a DJ bike. No cracks or bends on the frame. Has not been used for the last 10 months due to other trail riding and road biking, so I'm going to see how it fares online. It is factory except for a change of grips, tubes and tires. Some rust on a few bolts, but is only cosmetic.
With that being said, there come a few problems: The mechanical brakes, the shifter, and the fork.
Brakes: The levers function fine. The housing and brake lines are good. The actual brake pads and rotors need replacing, resurfacing, or a complete change to hydraulic to make sure the problem would be fixed. Stopping power is minimal to nonexistent.
Shifter: The derailleur works wonderful, but from my latest inspection I believe the housing and line are the culprit to the extremely tight shifting with little to no room for less tension due to the length of the cable.
Fork: They work. They have a leak. They're DJ3s.
What was changed:
Grips and tubes: Forte branded ones from performance
Tires:
Rear: 2.35 Maxxis Minion DH Specific less than 50% tread left
Front: 2.5 Kenda Nevegal less than 75% tread left. This was a backup tire.
And the other details:

EDIT: Sorry I'm trying to keep it local within CA or better: within San Diego.
