i love how everyone says, "it doesnt look like..."

looks can be deceiving, just because a picture doesnt show what you want to see, it doesnt mean it doesnt perform the way you want it to.

if theyve done the testing around their local area, which is also mine then its found its way through some rpetty savage bogs due to horseriders being b astards, im sure itll be a pretty darn good XC tyre

i think everyones forgetting that this isnt a dh tyre, it isnt going to be a wetscream esque mud spike. ive un some conti's that have the lowest profile ever in the alps in the wet, and they were fine

Can some of you read?

The spaced out tread will clear mud pretty well when rolling at speed and not clog up. Not as much as a conventional spiked style like the Maxxis Medusa but similar to a Michelin Country/XCR Mud, so you're in good hands.

I guess not..

these look like nice tires...might buy a set to replace my Bontrager Earls I have at the moment..tread's almost gone on them anyways...they were a solid tire..as so do these...

cheap? did you read the add? Made for SOFT CONDITIONS!!! Sandy areas and light packed trails. They are lite and have a good tread pattern. They aren't a 5 pound gazoladdi. Think and read before you talk

Thin, because they don't have to be thick, again, for SOFT CONDITIONS! Rubber quality is a chemical compound, how can you tell from a picture?

I said that the tread looked a bit shallow - I was not commenting on the rubber compond/thickness at all... I ride XC tyres that are quite thin but also have decent tread depth so that they grip into the mud

had a Marzocchi tire..replaced it with a Michelin red tire compound..much better

but these Red Shift's look awesome..the tread looks like somethign you'd see in a sci-fi movie..love it

The only good tyre DMR has come out with is the Transition tyre. Nothing beats that.
