Helmet Cam: Aaron Gwin and Mike Day at Bootleg Canyon
I thought the quality was poor for the latest GoPro too... Went to YouTube direct and it's tip top. Sharp and no lag. Seems Pinkbike might be limiting the quality to 240 or 360p. Anyone else notice this? On the plus side, it looks so fast at the bottom it's like he's on a dirt bike! Outstanding ride.

I think I'm going to find some land, build a church and worship him as a Demi-god. Offerings, sacrifices, etc welcome from all comers...

I have absolutely no idea what I have just seen...there appears to be some sort of karate break dance back flip thing near the end and watching it 12 times I still can't work out what's going on! I can do a bunny with SPDs...I feel soooo inadequate.

new tyres
First ride out on the new tyres (after 2 weeks of flu)...wow! What a revelation! Despite feeling pretty weak, went out in the woods for an hour this evening and hit the usual singletrack. I had no idea how good it feels to point the front wheel and for the bike to go in that direction. Rear end grip was amazing too with every rooty climb cleaned. Light weight, super quick, it's like these tyres were made for this bike. Amazing. Sunday's race will be another good test...

Old enough to know better, young enough to get away with it (just)
Will not be tackling the same line again - the tape measure proves the gap is narrower than the fool on the bike! It would probably be ok to feed the bars at low speed, but that would defeat the object of keeping the speed up. I'll just go around the tree on the normal line next time.

Good work! I can't believe the sun was out in Wales! In the 4 yrs I lived there I think I saw it twice! What I want to know is how many times did George crash / break something?!

Opening section looks pretty quick! Liking the smooth rolling jumps too. Nicely done!
