Local Flavours: The Complete Guide to Riding in Brevard, NC
Thank you, Brice, for giving us quality material, for proofreading your work before it's submitted, and for writing the most badass riding profiles on PB. I always look forward to reading them after having to sift through clickbait. It's kind of like when you go to a wedding and finally get to eat dinner after eating a bunch of junk (or nothing) earlier in the day. We're also not jealous at all of the riding out east. We really prefer the few dry, blown out, close-to-freeway choices we have here in Southern California. The longer you sit in traffic to get there, the more stripes you earn.

Update: Brook Macdonald Rides Bike for First Time Since Mont-Sainte-Anne Injury
Got tears in my eyes reading this. I was at MSA this year and have been super worried about Brook since. My dad was injured in a cycling accident two years ago, has a spinal cord injury, and my husband and I cared for him exclusively for some time. It was one of the most difficult times of my life. Knowing full well all the challenges that Brook and Lucy have faced (and that moving forward requires immense strength and dedication), I am so proud of both of them. Lucy's commitment to Brook and Brook's commitment to recovery are admirable. Brook and Lucy, we'll be thinking of you and rooting for you!

Completely blew up his rear wheel (literally in pieces)... I saw his bike go by in the pits but appears that he's doing fine.

Video: Course Preview with Emily Batty - Mont-Sainte-Anne XC World Champs 2019
Emily, the Canadian Queen! Great information and coverage of the track (I'm in Canada at MSA so the internets is allowing me to view these videos). The XC track is considerably gnarlier than others I've seen. Really looking forward to seeing the ladies battle it out tomorrow!

so many shameless, unnatural plugs too. Terrible publicity for such an awesome event. Every event for RedBull is an investment, and I can't understand why they would put an announcer on live who was so embarrassingly ill-prepared.

I may be out of the loop, but do we know who this new guy is? His commentary was pretty awkward. A little extra research and allowing Claudio to lead the conversation would have served him well. Yikes

8 Things We Learned at the La Bresse World Cup
This could be a personal problem, BUT: I am totally not into this new BuzzFeed clickbait article format. I'm so tired of seeing "#3 WILL SHOCK YOU!!!" I get that people have short attention spans now, but this makes the content feel like an afterthought. Does anyone else feel that way, or am I just getting old and cranky?

West Virginia: From the Bottom to the Top
Fantastic work, Brice!! Everyone loves and knows Snowshoe, but often some very cool and accessible areas in other parts of the state are overlooked for riding purposes. I would love to see the state's tourism grow via mountain biking... the land is honestly the most beautiful I've seen in the U.S. IMHO. More trail access/tourism also hopefully equals more conservation in a state that desperately needs $.
