$575 USDThis is exactly the same fork as the factory version only with black hard anodized stanchions instead of kashima. It was ridden a few rides then taken off the bike to be replaced with a 38 to better match the color scheme (pistachio). It has the shorter offset for more high speed stability and the coveted Grip2 damper. There is some dirt and minor scratches, but the stanchions and wipers are flawless. You’re getting basically a new fork minus $350.

$2100 USDI bought this bike from the local Whyte factory rep for my son in April, and a month ago, he outgrew it. Dang teenagers. This year, on this bike, he became a better rider than I ever was in every aspect. He loves it, and gets constant compliments, as Whyte is quite rare in the U.S.
TRAVEL: 140mm front - 130mm rear
YEAR: 2018
This bike is phenomenal. It was the BikeRadar trail bike of the year 2016 and MBR trail bike of the year 2017. The 2018 was updated with more long low slack geometry tweaks.
Super stiff carbon frame with 130mm 4-bar suspension and cartridge bearings at all points. Being designed for the wet UK conditions, all the pivots are covered complete with dust caps. My son and I have taken this all over the SF Bay Area riding awesome flow trails like Santa Cruz's Demo Forest as well as local bike parks. We took it to Northstar where we though we might be vastly limited in travel, but much to our surprise, the bike did fantastically on the double diamond tech! The suspension never bottomed out on the rock strewn Northstar trails. The brakes feathered and locked surgically and never even hinted at fading. My son never even got arm pump. We hit every trail they had. The previous owner who was a bike mechanic, really put great parts on it. Heck the fork, shock, and hubset alone is more than a $1500 of upgrades. Then there are the White Industries XMR+ hubs which are super stiff and reliable. They're super easy to maintain, rolls fast, and has zero play. The titanium freehub is super bling. Although you don't see it, you really appreciate it when removing the cassette for cleaning, as it gouges much less than the much softer aluminum hubs. The 2.6 Trail Boss provides amazing traction.
Pedals are super personal, so it's not included. I'll have a pair of flats to use for test-ride though.

$240 USDI'm available most evenings to meet in Fremont, CA
This bike has gone through both my son and daughter as they were growing up and learning to mountain bike. It has seen some gorgeous trails from the scenic Flume and Powerline trails in Tahoe, to Tamarancho and China Camp in Marin, to Joaquin Miller in Oakland, to Water Dog in Belmont, to Saratoga Gap in Saratoga--not to mention various bike parks and pump tracks here and there. The kids have both moved up to bigger bikes, and this little gem will need to go to a good home and hopefully nurture another young shredder.
The rear suspension is uses the same FSR design as the Epic XC racer of the day. Cartridge bearings throughout.
The shock has both spring preload and rebound adjustments. This is not your run of the mill Walmart special. Along the way, various upgrades were installed to increase the level of fun. The 100mm Gravity Dropper seat post with remote did away with annoying stops to adjust the seat post height every time the terrain changed from up to down. It also improved safety by a ton. Upgraged from stock 7 speed grip shifter to 9-speed SRAM X9 cassette with a Shimano XT derailleur and trigger shifters. Chain upgraded to SRAM 970 with power link. Added a short stem and riser bars to improve downhill control and confidence. Locking grips round out the cockpit.
This bike has seen many miles of beautiful trails, and would love to see many more. While does not look new, it wears its paint chips and scuffs like well-earned badges of honor. Everything works flawlessly. Brakes are set up light pull that even tiny hands can lock the wheels when they need to. This rig is ready to shred.
That's my kid sending a drop at Waterdog at 10.
Price firm. In a world where adult mountain bikes are easily $5k-$6K, a fully dialed and ready to ride kid bike at this price is a pretty great. If you know your equipment you know what a deal this is, so please don't try to lowball me.
