Mar 20, 2013Santa Cruz Nomad Carbon, (20")
$2750 GBPSanta Cruz Nomad Carbon, 2011, Black and Gold, XL.
The bike is one and a half years old, and its current built up weight is just under 30 pounds. It has been built up with an XT group set, Fox suspension and the new Thomson Stem and Easton bars are recent additions. The Fox Talas 36 front fork and Fox DHX Air rear shock have recently been serviced, as have the frames bearings and seals.
The bike has been well loved and cared for by a keen mountain biking enthusiast. I used the bike when I lived in Malaysia, so the warm weather has meant the frame has been less exposed to the harsher UK weather. Given the big mountain eating nature of the bike it has some minor scratches from every day use, but overall the frame and components are in fantastic condition (the pictures don’t lie)! There has been some minor cable rub on the carbon top tube (shown in a picture), but this is only surface level. Although it saddens me, I am selling my beloved Santa Cruz Nomad Carbon as it is not getting the use, love and attention it deserves. This bike needs an owner who will ride it, not leave it sitting in the spare room because work does not permit time for riding.
I am only interested in serious buyers, so please do not contact me unless you are truly thinking about purchasing the bike. For more information please txt me, as I am currently travelling away from the UK. Ideally I would like the bike to be collected from my home, near Guildford in Surrey. If this is not possible, then I will work with the buyer to come to an arrangement, but all costs for payment transfer and delivery must be borne by the new owner.

What the guys at Bike Radar say about the SC Nomad Carbon: “The Nomad C is an all-mountain frame with cross-country weight. This frame looks as though it should hang in an art gallery, but begs to be ridden hard. By using a one-piece construction technique to create the front triangle, designers were able to create an ultra-strong stiff frame with some amazing lines. The attention to detail on this bike is amazing… To say that this bike is well thought-out is a huge understatement”.
Their bottom line: "An outstandingly stiff and capable big-hit, all-day bike worth the price for riders good enough to exploit it".
