2014 Ride to Conquer Cancer

Last year I rode my first Ride to Conquer Cancer. I managed to raise over $5800 to benefit the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. It's been a cause that's been particularly close to my heart, as my mother was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2012. Since then, she has been undergoing treatment at Princess Margaret, and I'm happy to say that she is still doing well, and the treatment seems to be making a difference. The level of care we have received there is second to none. To me, all the money I raise directly benefits my mom, and others like her - people living with cancer. Almost everyone I have ever known has had their lives affected by cancer in one way or another. Last year the Ride raised over $19 million. That money goes directly to fund cancer research and care at Princess Margaret.
