When I stand on a scale with it I get about 36 pounds or so. Tires are really heavy, though. 2.5 downhill tires. I bought some lighter ones a while ago, but I switched them out after a while 'cause I missed the confidence of the bigger tires. With the lighter ones on the bike weighted just over 31 or 32 pounds, but I thought the extra weight was worth the confidence so I took the light ones off.

Aug 31, 2011Large Scott Ransom w/ Hammerschmidt
$1300 USDMoved to Minnesota for grad school and it's pretty flat. I love this bike, but I don't think there's a need for it out here so I'm getting rid of it.
Just took it on a ride last week, and it rides perfectly. Had the brake pads replaced and bled this summer, and the Lyrik internals and dampers were replaced last summer. The bike is in awesome shape--I've taken very good care of it and stayed on top of the maintenance, and avoided any (very) serious crashes on it so the bike looks fantastic.
I bought this bike from a mechanic two years ago who had just put it together and had barely ridden it. The only thing I've changed since owning it is a new saddle and lock on grips for my big hands. The build is awesome--very bombproof and adjustable for different riders. Hammerschmidt is the best--I can't imagine riding without it now.
Build:
2008 Ransom frame
Lyrik U-turn fork with high/low speed compression damping, rebound, etc.
Hammerschmidt crankset
SRAM x9 shifters, derailleurs, chain and cassette
Truvativ AKA stem, Holzfeller riser bar
Avid Elixir R brakes w/ carbon fiber levers
DT Swiss e2200 rims and hubs
Crank Bros 50/50 pedals
Lizard Skin Northshore grips
Call or text me (Sean) at (509) 714 3168. I will ship anywhere in the US for fifty dollars. Feel free to ask any questions.
Thanks!
