I didn't see the video but judging from the title and the photos (unless misleading) he probably thought he was being complimentary? He obviously thought really, really wrong. However, given that the photo he used looks like a 'check me out' selfie,' I can see why he thought that. Again, incredibly dumb so it's not an excuse but perhaps, it is a reason? We ARE the MTB community, and we all make mistakes. He took it down, apologized, and is certainly suffering consequences. Dude's life is falling down around him right now. I'm all for accountability but remember what Jesus (H.I.M) said as the crowd gathered to stone the prostitute, "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone."
