Genesis Croix de Fer, 56cm, SS conversion
£300 GBP2015 Genesis Croix de Fer for sale, size 56cm and recently converted to single speed. Used for the occasional 15 mile commute when new, then used for the occasional big road and offroad ride. Single speeded last year after moving house to use with my son on the back but Dorking is hillier than I thought it would be! Used about twice after that, so the bars, grips, levers, chain, chainring and tensioner are barely used. Frames is in good condition with the odd scuff here and there but nothing major. Wheels have hardly seen any use as i've run a 29er wheelset on them for most of its life

140mm Rock Shox Revelations, SLX crank, One Up 32T chainring, DMR Vault pedals, Schwalbe Magic Mary and Hans Dampf tyres, Hope Pro 2 EVO Straight Pull hubs, Stans Flow rims, Formula brakes, Renthal bar, Ritchey stem, Hope Headset and clamp, X Fusion dropper post.
Still a fine running machine (currently used as a spare bike for long-distance guests - used just last week). Clearly has some cosmetic damage to the frame (ie years of normal use) and the bearing could use a change although nothing feels seized. Fork and shock are both feeling good bit again a service wouldn’t hurt. Chain is probably a bit stretched and has some surface rust (someone didn’t lube after cleaning!). Cable stops have been drilled out for running full-length cable outers. One bottle cage bolt has sheared off and needs drilling out if required.
Great little bike with plenty life left in it
