Video: 'This Step Up is One of the Most Unreal Jumps I've Ever Hit' - Week 3 Update from DarkFEST
WOW - seriously, this is insane. That last photo is hard to comprehend. How high is he boosting from the tip of the jump to where he is. 50 ft ?? way more? less? Hard to gauge from that perspective. The geek in me wants to see some numbers for this course... E.g. distance, height, angle, vert achieved...etc... Again blown away, when is big actually enough ? lol

Field Test: Santa Cruz Bronson
The format of these field tests is testing individual bikes and providing qualitative impressions and feedback. This is great, especially combined with great photography and writing. However, I am secretly hoping for some data, baseline comparisons to the other models in the field test within the group! Take every bike down one or a set of the same trails. Use strava or alike against inidivifusl riders baseline to reasonable offset weather or other variables. Get some insights into things like dollar value performance and segment (trail vs super enduro) really provides advantageous for specific trail types. Not looking for bible of bikes , but looking forward to wrap up. Heck a wild idea ... run the hot lap !! Anyway, great stuff... look forward to new content each day. I'm hoping to isolate the travel and fro choice for my next all purpose bike having closed the door on having a dedicated gravity race bike ! Cheers

Trek Session 88 race bike. Light, great spec, fast

$2150 CAD
Sick Bike. Hate to part with it, but it has seen 6 rides in the last 3 years. All at bluemountain. Top spec, great frame. Very light Dh bike (35 pounds with enduro tires, 36.5 with DH casing tires) Broke shoulder riding MX in June. Just getting back on the mountain bikes now. Will not be riding DH rest of the year, just xc on my hardtail. I just ordered the following parts and have not put them on the bike yet, but they will come installed on the bike: (or not , your choice ) NEW Magic Mary front and rear tires, vert star, supergravity, DH 2.35. The current tires have only 5 total rides on them ( magic mary also ) but for some reason I notice a bubble/growth appeared in one spot on the front one. I am thinking perhaps one of the layers must have separated and being tubless, sealed itself. Anyway, likely still fine, but it would drive me crazy to ride it and hear the noise. So bought new tires for next owner, front and back. The current rear tire as 95% tread and should stay on until worn out. Your choose though. NEW rear rotor - 180mm. the existing rotor I noticed had some coloration. So time for a new rotor as I don't think stock one would provide full stopping power. NEW pads too. not installed yet, will need bedding in of course. NEW headset bearings top and bottom. I re-grease existing ones every year, but I noticed the top one still felt a bit "notchy" so out they go. Again, have not installed yet, but I can before new owner picks it up. Cane creek zero stack, so the bearings pop in and out easily. it is a 5 minute job. In 2016 I did the following: New saint cranks, New RockShox vivid RC2 rear shock, 450 and 500 springs. New Charger damper for World Cup fork, New Pedals, New Magic Mary tires. New Chain New x9 derailleur New aluminum derailleur rollers All new bearings, full frame RWD needle bearings for top and bottom of shock interface ( $100 ) These make suspension action super smooth

Trek Shows Off Rachel & Gee Atherton's Sessions for Fort William
Ok we know the frames well. They work extremely well. To the point where its just another Honda Civic on the course, tough to notice... but man those are bad ass bikes. Adds some much needed attitude and fierceness to the norm. Sweet.
