Sep 14, 2020Cotic FlareMAX (Medium)
$2500 GBPSelling my 2019 Cotic FlareMAX as i'm just not using it and it deserves to go to someone who can put it to good use. This bike wants to pick up speed and roll over everything and the combination of Long, Low & Slack inspires the confidence to ride over more than you'd assume if you looked at numbers alone. If i could justify keeping it to ride once in a blue moon i'd keep it but this bike should be ridden, not kept locked away.
The bike has only been ridden a handful of time and as such is in great condition with only a few hairline scuffs along the chainstay and a few small1mm scratches on the downtube. but given it's a few years old it's in pristine condition with no marks on the fork stanchions or cable rub.
RRP: over £4000
Cotic FlareMAX medium
SRAM GX Eagle 12spd and XT brakes
Cane Creek DB Air set at 132mm travel
Burgtec RW carbon bars
Hope Hoops
Race Face dropper
Cotic saddle, stem and grips
Azonic pedals
WTB tyres with Tannus insert in the rear
2019 SR Suntour Auron35 forks, 130-160mm. Set at 140 currently
The blurb direct from the Cotic website sums it up perfectly;
FlareMAX is a proper sweet-spot chassis; the perfect trail bike. It's the only bike you'll need for ripping through the woods and conquering mountains. Reynolds 853 steel keeps the frame light and responsive, yet fiercely capable.
The combination of big wheels and mid travel is an irresistible recipe for all round fun; whether it's an all day epic or an evening blast, steep and tech, or fast and flowy, FlareMAX is more versatile than you would believe.
Any questions please ask and thanks for looking.
