Why are they trying so hard to make an emtb feel like it's not one. My experience is once you ride one for a bit, you don't notice it. Also you can use the extra power that you have to your benefit. Like when you need to get over a root or a log or whatever. I also feel like the extra weight makes for a more planted feeling ride. One misconception as well is you're not getting any exercise or it's too easy. You can get plenty of that on an emtb. I'm not hating or bad mouthing any type of bike or rider. Just my observation from 40 plus years of riding. Whatever you're riding have fun.
