Jan 19, 2020Trek Superfly 9.8 XL carbon full suspension 29er
$1400 USDUp for sale: 2014 Trek Superfly FS 9.8. This is a great all-purpose XC bike that I unfortunately just don’t ride anymore. I got it as a closeout in 2015, rode it for about a year off and on, and then it’s been sitting in my garage for the most part since then. The riding that it’s done has been on local twisty bike trails or occasionally in Dupont, never raced, never crashed (even a minor one, remarkably). It is straight up stock as listed in the link below with the exception of the tires. I’m 6’2”, and this bike would be great for anyone 5’11-6’5” depending on leg length. It’s in great shape, and hasn’t been abused. Some mild scuffs on the frame from cables or branches, but no deep scratches that I can see, and certainly no cracks. The cranks have some scratches from rocks on them, but nothing more than expected.
Note: just realized that the pulled for the rear Shock is broken. This means that the shock itself works, but the compression adjustment isn’t functioning. The bolt on the pulley itself sheared off. This pulley is no longer available from Fox, and I can’t find a place that sells them online. The shock can be ridden as is, or it can be replaced. You may also be able to find a replacement for the pulley, but this is less likely. I have dramatically lowered the price for this reason, making the bike a steal.
Asking $1400 or best reasonable offer. I’m in Raleigh, NC, but also spend a good bit of time over near Asheville and Greenville, SC. Would love to not have to ship it, but I can have a shop package it up and send it out for whatever they charge to do that. We can discuss shipping costs as needed.

Mar 17, 2012Specialized Stumpjumper Pro Carbon XL
$3200 USDI've got a 2011 Stumpjumper Pro carbon in an XL up for sale...got the bike in December of '10, and have mixed ride time between it and my race bike since then. Parts are in great shape, replaced the drivetrain in October, and haven't put all that many miles on it. I changed to Shimano XT brakes as I think they feel better at the lever and got rid of a brake issue I was having with the original XOs that came stock. Additionally, I put on an aluminum 725mm bar (SBC Enduro bar) for the extra width, put on a Truvativ AKA stem, and changed the grips to Ruffian lock-ons. The biggest change that I've done to the spec is changing the wheels to an Industry Nine AM set. These wheels are much much stiffer and more responsive than the stock wheels, and are a HUGE jump up in performance. I had a warranty issue with the original frame and got a new frame from Specialized mid-September of this year, so the frame itself is only about 6mo old, and only has been ridden for about half of that time. The other major departure from stock is the rear shock...I really didn't like the way that the Brain shock made the bike feel on descents, so I put on a Fox RP3 (open, lockout, pro-pedal), which I think makes the bike ride much better overall.
Other than that, the spec is the same as on the website...check it out if you've got any questions. I'm asking $3200 OBO. Shoot me an email if you've got any questions or would like to see some more pictures.
