How to Pre-Ride for Enduro with Syd Schulz and Macky Franklin – Video
@cmcrawfo: oh poo. plenty of people got something out of this, they just aren't the ones word vomiting in the comments. I know because they had to send me private messages and texts saying they appreciated it so they wouldn't have to deal with all the hate from being *gasp* positive about something in the comments. The cool police here in the comment section needs to take a chill pill and realize that not everything is about them. that said, you're spot on with your comment about vanlife not being the pinkbike dream higher up. that made me giggle.

How to Pre-Ride for Enduro with Syd Schulz and Macky Franklin – Video
@glenno: Hi, I'm the girl in the video. Frankly, I don't care what you think about my riding -- this might be shocking to hear, but I actually knew I was not Aaron Gwin before posting this video. However, I clicked on your profile and noticed that you call yourself a MTB skills instructor so I want you to know that these sort of comments do not reflect well on you or your company. If you have so little respect for my riding, I hate to think how you treat your beginner clients. Also, apparently you're 37. Long past time to grow up and stop hating on people on the internet. It's not a good look.

New IMBA National Enduro Series Announced and Schedule Released
@salespunk: i think the assumption is that, like NAET or EWS (where these categories came from), not that many amateurs have the time/money/interest in following a series of this scale, and if they do, they probably could be racing pro (assuming they aren't a junior or a master!) Think PRO XCT or Pro GRT... Nobody's opposed to having an expert category necessarily but it's also worth keeping in mind that, while every one of these race promoters offers a pro category, some do only one amateur cat while others do expert AND sport, so it adds an extra layer of challenge to sorting it out. But it's something I'm sure they'll keep in mind for future years, especially if there is a contingent of experts interested.

New IMBA National Enduro Series Announced and Schedule Released
Basically it's designed to be 4 trips (o-rock and santa fe together, and killington and WV together) for pro racers, which is not unreasonable for anyone hoping to race at the EWS level (think 4 trips to Europe in 1 year). Yeah, it's not cheap, but one of the goals here was to make it equally uncheap for everyone. Past years of the NAET have been like 6 rounds in the PNW which is economical for everyone who lives there and a disaster for everyone who doesn't. NES had the goal of evening the playing field. There's also a drop so you can make it a 3 trip summer. I know this isn't feasible for most amateur racers but ultimately this is a pro series and should tax most pros a similar amount.

New IMBA National Enduro Series Announced and Schedule Released
my impression is that the rules will be more or less standard enduro rules for each round -- wear a helmet, don't cut the course, don't be a dick. But some races may require full faces, or have different penalties if you miss a start. Sure, it would be great if they were standardized across the board but at the moment, it's what we're working with, and nothing is going to wildly different.

In Dust We Trust: A Day in Nevados de Chillán - Video
Vittoria morsa and Martello. Martello is their new tread, massive knobs and in a 2.5 it's like a moto tire so rad in the sand!

Video: A Singletrack Valentine in Queenstown, New Zealand
It's a combo of moonlight and golddigger. You can ride them both in a day from Arthur's point. Out and back if you're really keen. There are some dirt road climby bits in the middle that didn't make it into the video, haha.
