Same shit, different year. Step 1. Buy a new bike. Step 2. Talk yourself into buying the nicest components you can afford. Step 3. Ride the bike three times. Step 5. Leave it in your basement for a year and tell yourself any day now you're going to ride it. Step 6. Sell it for less than half what you paid for it. Built it up with aggressive enduro in mind. Crashed practicing for the cascadia enduro and fractured 3 vertebrae and some ribs and haven't touched it since. I'm firm on the price. Details on this fine steed below. Weight - just a hair over 30lbs without pedals, which isn't bad considering how massive the frame tubes are (you'll understand if you see it in person) and the fact it's rolling on a DH wheelset & tires. You could throw some ardents and a less aggressive wheel build on their and drop a pound or two. Both rims were set up tubeless, but I threw a tube in the rear because after sitting so long it wasn't holding air and I'm out of Stan's. Front is still good to go - holds air better than some tubes I have. Fancy Bits: - Raceface Next carbon cranks. These things are idiotic expensive, and last time I checked the lightest crank for this sort of riding that money can buy. - Raceface Sixc carbon bars. These are basically brand new and were installed on the bike this morning. - KS Lev Integra dropper post. I prefer this post to the reverb (way less maintenance & has never froze on me in the cold). I run KS on all my bikes. - Stans Flow EX - Maxxis Minion DHF TR 2.5 up front and Maxxis Minion DHR2 on the rear. - Formula Disc Brakes - Easton Havoc Stem Standard-ish Bits: - Pike 140mm - Fox Float CTD - Sram X9 1x10 Setup with the spendier cassette & chain - Commencal seat (good looking and pretty comfortable) Again - she has super low miles and is an outstanding value at this price. Diamondback Mason with custom build - size Large frame. Bought this to test the waters on the 29er front - and I loved it. I loved it so much that I bought another 29er ...and another one.
