Trek Fuel EX+ Review: The Mid-Power eMTB That’ll Make Most Riders Happy
I don't think this is true, there are plenty of e bikes with funky suspension kinematics (Trek's own Slash + as an example) and I think geo is the most important part when determining a bikes personality.
Also, there is literally a comparison section in this article that describes meaningful differences between bikes that are in the same category, let alone e-bikes in general.

Video: Do You Really Need DH Casing Tires?
@brycepiwek:Based on my experience the casing construction is the primary factor for rolling resistance, followed by rubber compound and tread pattern. Every time the wheel goes around you have to flex the tire contact patch. DH tires w/ heavy reinforcement of fabric and rubber on their top surface loose a lot more energy every time they flex and are often made with softer rubber compounds even if the tread pattern is the same.
Weight doesn't impact rolling resistance on flat ground, but does make the bike feel slower to turn and accelerate and decelerate.
If you get a chance to try DD back to back with a DH casing you'll feel it immediately.

Video: Do You Really Need DH Casing Tires?
No mention of tire inserts? I'm able to run a Double Down casing w Cushcore pro instead of DH casing. I like the lower rolling resistance of the DD for an overall weight and protection similar to a DH casing.

Day 1 Randoms - Red Bull Rampage 2025
@hevi: I get that new locations are hard, but even a fresh venue in virgin / UT would give HUGE energy to the event. Look at the top comment in this thread, riding venues with existing lines just takes away some of the storylines from the builds this year.
I think even if the venue was "worse" in terms of dirt it would be "better" for the hype and event. TBH I'll likely just end up watching the highlights this year, but do believe that if it was at ANY new unridden venue I'd be tuning in live to see what the riders do with that challenge.

Discussion: The UCI Hasn't Banned 32" Wheels Yet, Should They?
@dmorf: Well then, by definition, we'd have to let 32" compete to gather this data. Also, the burden to prove causation over correlation for something like wheel size in a mountain bike race would be extremely challenging. I'm not sure you could even do this for 29" wheels vs. 27.5" in XC today. I'd love to see if someone has tried.

First Look: The Rraven Zerro is an Aftermarket Dual-Direction Dropper Post
@rraven: Your system does seem like a simple solution to the problem, but like everything, the challenge is getting the details right. Congrats on bringing it to market. My guess: your IP concern isn't about the push/pull cables, which I've seen done in other applications, but rather the mechanism you've implemented to prevent back driving from weight on the saddle?

First Look: The Rraven Zerro is an Aftermarket Dual-Direction Dropper Post
I think its pretty clear that its just driven up and down by the long lever throw at the bars. The standard drop is currently shown as 100mm, to keep the save leverage ratio on a 200mm post you'd need twice the lever throw at the bars, which doesn't seem feasible for your hand to physically do without moving your hand on the grip.
And if you keep the lever throw the same while halving the mechanical advantage it would likely be extremely stiff to push with your thumb. This will only get worse as the post gets dirty and friction increases with use.
As "most" riders want 150mm or longer dropper posts the force and distance at the bars required for a post of this design seems like a significant hurdle to total market adoption. But probably cool for XC
