Shimano Patent Filing Raises Electric Questions
Oh my Lord, I really like the ker-klunk sound of the next gear, kinda warms my heart knowing that the bike shifted. But most of all what would I do with the 12 Jagwire inners I got on sale?

Carbon vs Aluminum: Separating Environmental Fact From Fiction in the Frame Materials Debate
Sorry RC, aluminum for me, can buy a lot of bikes in A vs one in Carbon, plus don't have to spend an hour looking over the bike every time I crash.

Saris Bones 2-Bike Strap-On Rack - Review
Bought a Hollywood Baja 2 5 years ago and over 300 trips carrying two bikes, have not had a single problem. When I bought a fully, Hollywood sells an adapter that allows the bike to sit level and not mess with any strapping around the shock. A litte bit on the beefy side but gives ease of mind climbing those rocky dirt fireroads to get to the trailhead.

Ask Pinkbike: Whistler, Sprocket Size, and Capable XC Bikes
Out of necessity because of my age (73), I run a 28t wolftooth oval chairing with a Sunrace 11-42 cassette on my Superfly and it works well. My axiom is, the older you get, the smaller the chainring.

Pinkbike Poll: Does the Current Method of Mountain Bike Classification Make Sense?
Me: As soon as Santa Cruz adds two more degrees to the seat angle, I may buy a Hightower LT Salesguy: Oh so you want an Enduro bike. Me: No, I can't rip a tire of a rim with my teeth and after two hours, all I want is a beer, a shower and a nap. Salesguy: So then are you going ride it in Xc? me" No, I;m allergic to lycra and I'm not built like a twig with.ooooooo1% body fat. Salesguy: So are you going to ride it on the road? Me: No, the thought of cars passing me at 60 mph and the awful noise a knobby makes gives me the chills. Salesguy: So what are you going to do the your new Hightower if not Enduro, XC, or road? Me: I'm going to ride the trails on my mountain bike. Simple.

Knolly Moves Entire Lineup to 157mm Spacing
Because my downhill speeds are just about a bit more of my uphill speeds, wheel flex is not a problem. 135 is ok for me.
