I gave up mountain biking over a decade ago but have still kept this bike, into which I poured my heart and soul for the better part of a decade. It's a 1999 Seven Sola hardtail, to which I added some premium bits: Moots handlebar and setback post, Seven titanium stem, Altek levers (the best!), Avid brakes, SRAM XO shifters and rear derailleur, XTR front derailleur, Manitou Skarab fork, Mavic rims and Chris King hubs, WTB saddle, King ti cages. Bike recently got a once over by my LBS--with a new chain, new cables, and new Hutchinson Python tires--and has only been on one (road) ride since. It still rides superbly! Frame is in VG-E condition, with some minor wear to the decals. There's some computer mount residue on the right fork stanchion and over the Mister Moots logo on the handlebar, the saddle shows some wear around the edges, and a decal is missing on one of the cranks. But the bike is in truly amazing shape for one year shy of true vintage! This bike was custom to me, but I can ride off-the-shelf bikes with no problems. Seat tube measures 16.5/42; top tube 21.75/55; effective top tube 23/58. (Sorry, the build sheet got lost in a move.) I'm 5'11' and generally ride a 56cm road bike for comparison. You could part this out and get the frame for free, or nearly so. But I'd much prefer to sell it as a whole bike to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have.
