Up for sale/trade is my Transition Preston FR I built from the ground up. Its in excellent shape other than some scuffs and scratches from use and transporting to trailheads/bike parks, and its quite a rare bike. The front brake could be used to be bled, they are brand new avid elixir 3 brakes I put on due to my old Hayes brakes that blew out several times on me. I don't have the tools to bleed them at my disposal anymore, otherwise I would do it myself. The chain does skip a little in the high gears under hard pedaling, but it shifts decent through all its gears. Its a 9 speed rear cassette with a single 36t chain ring up front, with a Blackspire chain Tensioner and Truvativ China Plate Bash guard. I am running a Sram X9 derailleur with X5 shifter, with a Sram 9 speed cassette and chain. Its got a Fox DHX 5.0 coil shock and a Marzocchi 55 TST 1 1/8 steer tube 20mm thruaxle air fork. Its got Kona high rise bars, FSA Pig headset, bearings, ODI green lock on grips that are worn pretty thin, WTB Dual Duty rims(the front has an ever so slight bend), Kenda Telonix 2.4 tires with HD downhill tubes, Transition DJ saddle with brown leather houndstooth design, and Raceface Evolve DH crankset with red DMR V8 pedals. I hate to sell it, its my baby, but its more of a heavy duty all mountain/light freeride bike, and I want either a full blown downhill rig, a dual suspension dirt jumper, or a hardtail DJ preferably another Transition, of equal or lesser value with cash, like a Gran Mal, Blindside, Double, Bank, Trail or Park, PB&J, or Bank, but I will consider other trades. I will ship within the country as long as the buyer pays for shipping, but I will also do local if there are any other fellow Transition riders here in Charlottesville, Virginia.
