Replay: Behind the Scenes From Rampage Practice
@kevin267: Totally agree. I think the big argument against your suggested format is that RB is selling this as a live event, and all the "drama and anticipation" that goes along with that. And, with social media what it is today, you can't keep things under wraps and air it later without a lot of footage leaking out, which I would think RB would see as diluting their exclusivity on the event. I kinda call BS on that, since I don't have 6 hours of free time on a work day to sit around and watch a live stream that may have hours of wind delay with filler commentary. I'd rather watch a 2 hour recap with all the fluff cut out. For me, Rampage is always a bit spoiled since by the time I get around to watching it, I already know how it turned out and have probably seen clips of the best footage. Having a 3 day window with judging at the end would allow the judges to go back and review all the runs on equal footing, rather than having the first few guys that go get screwed since the judges always score low to leave room for a better run later on. No perfect answer though, since with no immediate judging after a run, a rider that stomps their first run wouldn't know whether they want to risk it for a second run. That could lead to more 2nd runs, which = more risk for the riders, but more content for the viewers.

Tech Talks: Lubing Your Fork Seals, Presented by Park Tool – Video
Did I miss it, or did he not mention that you need to clean your seal before doing this, otherwise all you are doing is shoving all that grit into your seals. And no, I don't want the busted off tip of tooth pick stuck in my fork seals. Cable tie for the win.

Strobel Hits The Whole Enchilada – Presented by Enve
@sjmitch10. One of my best days on the bike ever was a spring trip riding a partial enchilada from Kokopelli down, followed by a Milts Burger and Milkshake. Well fed and content, I had the inspiration "what if we did a second lap?" So we did.

Long Live D1: Whistler Bike Park - Video
@WhistlerMountainBikePark: You guys are like drug pushers. I just got back from riding 9 full days in the park, and my fall season pass is just sitting there whispering to me that I should skip out of work and head back up for a long closing weekend. Put life on hold.....OK, twist my arm.

Trail City: The Bikers, Builders and Believers of Duluth, MN
My wife grew up in Duluth, and still has lots of family there. I was a bit surprised that this video makes it sound like there was no riding at all in Duluth 10 years ago. I remeber riding with my brother in law there, must be 15+ years ago, and thinking the riding was pretty decent. Good enough that we considered moving back there (no jobs though). From, what it looks like, it has been expanded greatly through a lot of a hard work from some awesome people. And despite living in Oregon for the last 20 years, surrounded by some incredible riding, I'd have to say those trails make me jealous. I'd kill for those rocks slabs at the trail systems where I build and ride. I'd have no hesitation if my wife ever said she wanted to move back home. Well done Duluth!
