If you've taken the chairlift up, e-riding allows you to ride up the mountain instead.

Opinion: Further Faster - Thoughts on the Coming E-Ride Revolution
I own a Kranked E-Ride... It gets me out on the hill more often and I can explore place I could never before. I ride faster, harder and stay in the cardio zone longer.
Nothing wrong with the traditional set up... It's just a lot slower and let me just say don't hate until you try it.
It costs a bit more, but riding is an adventure like never before... Like a vacation everyday in the wilderness.
@Justin1000, if you can't afford one don't start bad mouthing (STFU)
