Chris King Fun Bolts Part Number: PHB507-10 Axle type: 135 x 10mm bolt on Compatibility: Chris King ISO, Classic, Disc-Go-Tech geared hubs with the 135x10 HD one piece axle (PHB544), or single speed compatible axle. Have been used but you would never know it. Chris King FunBolts are used with their single-speed hubs or with a standard ISO Disc Rear hub because those have an axle with removable QR adapters that are threaded into place. Why would you want to use FunBolts you might ask? They offer much more security than quick release skewers in terms of clamping force into the rear dropouts. They stiffen the rear of the bike making the suspension work more smoothly. Chris King FunBolts are hollow and made from stainless steel and use an aluminum cap sleeve to distribute even pressure across the face of the dropouts. They require an 8mm hex wrench to torque them into place.
