Forbidden Bike Company's High Pivot Trail Bike - Crankworx Whistler 2018
i'm guessing (as these guys are located on vancouver island) that the name is a reference to forbidden plateau - which is a pretty sweet riding zone. regardless, this design looks dope. looking forward to hearing more from these guys, and wish them the best of luck getting this project rolling.

@Slabrung: using a cheap popcorn maker is a easy way to dabble in home roasting. small batch size, but solid results. i was buying green beans at ~1/2 the price, and truly fresh roast made for amazing espresso. don't do it now (in close proximity to a bevy of great roasters), but it was fun experiment.

The Resurgence of High Pivot Suspension Design
as the guys lived in the same area and knew each other well; to say it was heavily influenced is certainly not a stretch. bit of a shame zerode dropped the dh chassis. would be cool to see an updated carbon big wheel iteration.

The Resurgence of High Pivot Suspension Design
no big deal in practice. a bit harder to manual, sure, but not something that you can't adjust to. i can see not everyone would like the feel, but the difference in how much less a high pivot hangs up on square edge hits is certainly tangible. hp bikes are beasts in the chunk. really cool to see them come back into fashion.

Aaron Gwin's Mystery Derailleur - Leogang DH World Cup 2018
a bit of a reach, but this proto cx mech from a couple years ago - that was speculated to be from trp - has a similar composite knuckle design: https://www.cxmagazine.com/prototype-shimano-compatible-clutch-road-cx-rear-derailleur-molly-cameron

Ellsworth Truth Gets a Remake - Sea Otter 2018
@yxbix: tyler & dan were going through those bikes like popcorn though. the head tube gussets on the dare were cracking in so many places, pieces would fall out. They actually retrofitted a bolt on plate to try to keep said gussets in one place. and the joker swingarms were butter. i watched tyler kill a brand new swingarm within a few laps at whistler. the glory days of ellsworth, they were not.
