Details Announced for Zabarvan Legends 2025, India’s First Downhill MTB Series
@southshorepirate: Haha, good thing none of the races were done in delhi. But Jokes aside, India has been doing International leagues in cricket and the supercorss league. It all depends on the management team, if they provide you with quality checked nutrition or not, or else the athletes would have ripped us a new one by now. The DH races were conducted in well known ski resorts for tourists and major cities.

Details Announced for Zabarvan Legends 2025, India’s First Downhill MTB Series
@BruceWee: To address all your doubts, I (Sehan Shetty) am the the founder of Zabarvan. We are a 2.5 year old company, with a total of 3 employees (which is why I wrote this article due to shortage of staff). We have been conducting RnD for MTB helmets, ski goggles, snowboards and bindings for the Indian adventure sports scene. We've been manufacturing in India and with tie ups in China with the help of Gov funding to boost manufacturing. It all started because I as a backcountry snowboarder found it expensive to keep buying my gear from outside, especially because India taxes about 50% on foreign imports. As for Funding, the Indian government has been pumping funds and marketing into building the adventure tourism scene for the past few years and our DH event lined up with their goals. Furthermore, there were big sponsors for the series. You should check out the Indian super cross league to see how they've grown over the past few years. Our trajectory is similar to theirs. You are right, there have been DH races over the past decade across India, There were MTB fests across India which grew and died out. There were always sparks but nothing to sustain the fire. The current DH scene in India is 2-3 regional races in the Northeast of India that happen irregularly The Nationals Redbull Tlanf Ruam, an urban DH south asian qualifier for Cerro (currently on its 2nd season) Zabarvan legends series (3 Downhill races on back to back weekends) Do note that we have marketed ourselves as the first International DH series to be conducted in India. Oh and we didnt buy story space, As far as I'm aware, PB only publishes content they think is new and exciting. Advertising content goes into a separate section. Maybe one day, when we build highly competitive gear.

Over 7-8 women had been invited from across Asia, However, due to the short notice given to them, only one female Indian rider was able to make it. This year we plan on opening registrations much earlier in the year.
