Up for sale is a spectacular custom single speed build that I built up more than 10 years ago. It is still in perfect working order. The main value proposition of this bike is the Sturmey Archer 2 speed kick back hub. This hub allows you to have a low and high gear that you can shift between by rotating the cranks backwards a quarter of a turn. I built this wheel myself and have been riding it for more than a decade, so I can vouch for its durability. The rest of the build uses very high quality parts that will continue to last for decades more to come. Use it as a commuter. Use it as a wet weather bike. Use it just for fun. I am the original owner of this 1998 specialized stump jumper pro M2. This bike is in immaculate mechanical condition, and needs nothing before hitting the trail. Cosmetically I would give it an 8.5/10. The paint has been scuffed and scratched away by regular riding over 24 years. It is a size 18" and can be made to fit someone 5'8" to 6'. I am selling it because I simply have too many bicycles in my garage and I need to thin the herd. I have upgraded it with a Thompson seat post and stem as well as a 100 mm Manitou minute fork. It currently has continental traffic tires that measure 26x 2.1". Perfect for gravel riding and single track fun. It is running a 3x8 drivetrain that is of the same vintage as the bike. This bike features Deore XT brake levers as well as Deore XT V- brakes. The rear derailleur is a beautiful rapid rise Deore XTR. The front derailleur is Deore XT. It has an upgraded 150 mm rock shox lyrik suspension fork.
