@alis66: the market didn't want these things, and regulators had to force the hands of the dumb consumers.
Even when automakers had implemented the safety belts, people were mostly not using it and it had to be made mandatory so that people finally stop going through the windshield.
Same for cigarettes, helmets on motorcycle etc.
Still today, many people are not wearing their helmets on motorcycles in the US states that tolerate it.
Everyone knows that drugs, alcohol, speeding (...) are bad, yet most people use/do. If this isn't enough of an argument that rules must be forced on people, I don't know what is

I don't see why it's a problem if cops do something about it.
Here we have tons of people riding e-scooters on the sidewalk at 20kph.
We already have bozos on regular bikes that think they can ignore red traffic lights because they slowed down, and now we have so many e-bikes doing the same without even slowing down, passing buses unloading on the wrong side going 25kph ...
Honestly, if the trends keeps going the same way it's going, in 2-3years it will be a nightmare to walk, cycle or drive in a city if you care about your life

The Future of Enduro, Trade Shows, and Mountain Bikes
You missed the whole point that enduro was only racing.
So you ride trails but your race enduro. You don't ride enduro, and you don't race trails.
That was the whole concept of enduro races back when it started: racing with your friends on the week end on various trails, pedaling up together in the liaisons and comparing timesheets at the end of the day, while getting a drink and chatting about bikes and shit.
Pros/EWS killed the real enduro vibes, and it then even the pro circuit became progressively worse when it started to focus on bike parks only, practice, pits, lifts, same tracks over the years. UCI was the nail in the coffin
