@11six: I run a Trinotal on front of my XC HT (Dub rear), and Dub/Dub on my 150mm FS... I find I am sliding the Tri more in corners on our hardpack (which is pretty hard). I may have to try Grip compound as it's Race/Race.

@Ososmash: Carbon wheels, deleted dropper (never used), XX1 carbon crank, light weight seat post and saddle. Prior changes were rear wheel to get rid of NX cassette for e*Thirteen cassette (needed XD driver hub), that alone was worth 1lb. Carbon wheels feel amazing, that's where it really matters. The SX crank was bunch of dead weight too. Dropper was bit of high center mass. The plan is to get wireless dropper I can swap in when I go somewhere it would be useful.

My Genius 960 (bottom level) started off at 34lbs. I got it down to 32lbs with XC tires and better rear wheel... Still was a dog, down to 28lbs and now it's great.

I'd actually prefer more around 68 degree HTA for around flat country, for XC. It's amazing how good my old 69.5 HTA XC bikes are compared to my 65ish HTA 150mm.

Opinion: Handlebar Width is the Most Overlooked Element of Mountain Bike Fit
At 5'9 I started off at 780mm on my newest bike as a trial, cut them down a couple times and finally landed on 740mm which feels perfect. Waited too long too as the 780mm just felt too cumbersome and higher effort to corner with. My other bikes range between 720mm-740mm as well.
