I am selling my Rail 9.8 e MTB. It is the XT equipped version with a full carbon frame. It is my first eMTB and it has been an amazing experience. It transformed my riding. Only selling because I am getting a newer model. The bike is in perfect mechanical shape. I purchased it in May 2021 and it has only seem a very moderate amount of action. The odometer tells me that I rode 1540 miles in about 50 rised total in the time I had it. The bike was used on trails, but as an academic in his mid 50s I hardly took this bike to its limits. There are nonetheless a couple of cosmetic scratches on the frame. Ocerall the frame looks still very good, but there are scratches on the chainstays from a chain drop and some rocks on the left side (pictured in the photo), and around the bottom bracket/ motor/ pedals as I tried to navigate around some rocks. The battery is in perfect shape. They are good for 500 charge cycles, I used less than 60. The bike is mainly stock. I had an XC Cushcore added to the rear wheel to protect it from pinch flats. I just recently changed the chain ring, chain and cassette, so the drive train is basically new. The tires are not the original ones: I have now Specialized (I know, the irony) Butcher on the bike with thicker side walls, again to minimize the chance of flats. Pedals are not included, please bring your own. The bike retailed originally close to $10,000 when purchased. It has been well maintained, serviced locally, and still looks and rides almost as new. I am selling my Nomad. It is an awesome bike, but buying it was apparently a sign of midlife crisis. I bought it as a second bike and I don 't ride it as often as my shorter traveled bike. Any delusions of going really rad or going full Enduro were just wishful thinking. Since I just don't use it as much as I expected to do, so I cannot justify holding on to it. It is in great condition except for some minor scratches. The built kit is the XO-1 kit with the only change an upgrade to the XX1 crank set with a brand new direct mount 32t chainring. I also upgraded to a carbon wheelset (not pictured on the photos). The wheel set is hand built by Gravy with DT Swiss 240 hubs and Derby HD carbon rims with an internal width of 45mm. I am selling my TransAm29. It is a rad, superfun bike, but a new bike is knocking on the door, so this one has to go. The TransAm is one of the slack, fun hardtails with short chainstays that allows more aggressive trail riding. Other bikes of this type are the Kona Honzo, Yelli Screamy or Niner ROS. The frame is steel with amazing vibration damping. The frame comes with exchangeable dropouts and I will sell it with 142x12, 135x10 and single speed dropouts. I mostly used the bike as a SS, but it is currently built as a 1x10. Overall mileage on the bike is low as it shared duties with 2 other single speeds. The frame has only minimal cable rub. The fork was serviced by Fox this year. The drive train is brand new. I figured most people would look for a geared bike. I also put new bars and a new seat on the bike. The price is $1400 with a rigid seatpost.
