Norcal Shredmas
This was a short film that was meant to show the love of Christmas time but it also holds a deeper meaning as rider (Vincent Kimber) rides through some of the burnt forest from the Northern California fire earlier this year. Thoughts and prayers to all the families that lost their homes and as Christmas time rolls around remember to keep your loved ones close!

Hey Pinkbike, from all of us locals please take this crap down. Those trails are still closed due to burns, and this douchebro is ruining it for the rest of us. We all know EXACTLY where this was filmed. We all want this section of trail back. This is not helping. Not one bit. What a selfish idiot.

@sessions88: gabe its a cool edit, but probably should have used a legal trails in light of recent events.......

@larsmommer: still shouldn’t make a stink about something that’s basically they are jealous about. If they are trying to get back up to an illegal trail they are just as guilty. The top of the hill is closed because wet heavy trees sit on burnt stumps that will fall. The top of the hill won’t be open at a later date because of this

The relationship between mountain bikers and other trails users on Nor Cal trails is tenuous at best. Posting videos highlighting mtb use in areas closed for burns hurts our case that mountain bikers are a responsible user group in our attempt to expand trail access. We, can't stop people from riding up there, but please don't broadcast it by releasing videos.

All I want for Christmas is for our Sonoma County trails to recover from the fires in October. Also, for homes and businesses to be rebuilt for families who lost them. That’s it. By riding on closed trails in burned parts of Annadel State Park (and trails that are actually unofficial trails to begin with), riders are putting themselves and the fragile environment at risk. By posting, promoting and sponsoring the riders in this video, Pivot, PinkBike, et. al, it’s not helping. Please promote responsible trail riding so that we, local mountain bikers, can enjoy the trails for years to come. As for this rider, we all know he will be on Santa’s naughty list next year!

I've been riding these trails for a loooong time. These trails were already cut before the fires, they aren't harming anyone or anything, just making a sick edit for the boys. From personal experience, these are some of the best trails a man can find in the north bay. But for these keyboard warriors to come on here and have the audacity to write stupid sh*t like that, when they should be out riding, is seriously not cool. Congrats on making both picture and video of the day, and always remember that Santa and his elves will always shred harder than you.

Seriously Pinkbike, this is not cool. We want this land to recover and be reopened to responsible mountain biking. If the rangers see tire tracks back there they could keep it closed longer. Thanks for nothing. Please take it down.

You too. Get a life, your not trail enforcement and you need to mind your own business. You should join the hikers alliance because you sound like a hatin ass hiker

Because if a ranger see tracks he might make an emotional decision and keep the trail closed longer?? If that is how a ranger or land manager decides when a trail is to be reopened, that is a fuct system. Don't be such a pussy, Pandering to an imagined circumstance with no knowledge about how land use decisions are actually made.

@sessions88: Is your name Jeff because your comments sound a lot like the rhetoric that’s coming out of the White House. Can you please take your hate speach to Trump’s Twitter feed and let the locals discuss how we can educate mountain bikes to actually help, not harm, the fragile trail system that we so deeply care about in Annadel State Park? Thank you and have a fantastic new year.
