@wohwee: because long shocking this ride would give you 147mm travel. MT is to burly at 160mm. I think 145-150 travel is the sweet spot for a lot of people. The reviews for the two bikes are different, in the Sense that the new HT is snappier and pedals better.

Same reason why people long shock the sb130 instead of buying a sb150. Different bikes, but individuals buy and adjust the bike that best suits their riding to fit the type of trails they ride.

 It would be fun to have two different state, one with rear brake open and one with rear brake closed.

 Anyone thinking what im thinking? Wonder if you can long shock this ride?
