I couldn’t stop and ended up at the side of the hill so the rocks just got bigger until my bike couldn’t handle them anymore and I was posted otb xD it wouldn’t have been any better if I had made it to the bottom because the slope didn’t mellow out at all and went straight to a V shaped ditch next to the road I dont always ride #Freeride but when I do I make sure there's no run out.

First time on this trail... it was realy flow and fun so my friend in front of me go fast and i will have try to stay with him but qhen you go for the first try, maybe is better stay on your own pace. I'm lucky that nothing on my body was broken but my rear break level was flied away and I had to do all the trail to home with only the front break (one of the worst experience on bike)

Had a great time trying this roller for the first time. It looks worse in person, especially rolling up to it and not being able to see of the edge! Was able to keep good pressure on the front wheel and bring my weight to the left a little to avoid the bushes so it was more controllable than I expected. Excited to be hitting bigger stuff on my new bike like I used to on my dh rigs.

So fun bringing the enduro bike down an old classic. I was pretty cautious on the steep trail, since it's been a while and I wasn't sure what to expect. Need to throw the 2.1 damper in the fork because it is a divey SOB and I just have a ton of air in there now to make up for it. which feels awful. Still super fun! Also testing a nd32 filter on the gopro this time

Sorry about watermark, it was $50 to export without it. Not super scientific but this is a trail I know well so learning the trail is not a factor and I did both of these runs on the same day within an hour of each other and pushed to a comfortable but fast pace. It felt like a good run for both bikes and I tried to chose sections without any mistakes or I pointed them out.

Adventure is breaking the routine, the wrong turn, the wild over the domestic, the random over the routine. Though I seek the wilderness, sometimes it can be found a lot closer than you initially think. In the words of the writer Robert MacFarlane, “The weed thrusting through a crack in a pavement, the tree root impudently cracking a carapace of tarmac: these were wild signs as much as the storm wave and the snowflake.” Although I’ve been lucky enough to experience some great adventures in Europe, North and South America, this film is about a small scale canoe, bike and bivvy adventure, just a short diversion between where I live and where I work, in one of the cracks between a busy work and home life. Am I the ultimate adventurer? That’s not for me to judge, but it’s definitely the biggest adventure I could have had with the time and resources to hand on the day!

I am a guy who likes adventure in any form. But most of all on my bike. I ride every day to get better at what I love. And when I finally got to the mountains in Austria I also fell in love with them. Climbing mountains without even knowing if you could ride them down again was awesome. My lust for adventure gets bigger every day. But this lust comes at a price. A price that I can not afford, but I continue to dream anyway. Although one minute is a very short time to showcase my skills and adventures, I hope you can get the gist of it :)

I am not the ultimate adventurer. I like to think my adventures are humble, modest and fueled by a desire for new experiences and a love of all things wild. The video shows a trip from 2016 when I joined some sail/ski friends in northern Norway and brought along my bike. The result: bikes, beers and broken gears - what more can you ask for? Sadly, my capabilities on my most recent Norwegian adventure (a study exchange to Tromsø) came to a grinding halt after a ski crash left me with a dislocated knee and a ruptured MCL. As the midnight sun returns to northern Norway and my study exchange comes to an end, what better a way to finish it off with dreams of another (less painful) adventure on the horizon! Sam Black, 23, Scotland.

I read through a lot of blogs, looking for the perfect quote to start those few sentences with. But as I went through all kinds of shit, I felt like nobody on Tumblr really gets what adventures are about. It's about not knowing where to sleep the next day, it's about feeling small and using just what given to you. It's about forgetting the so called real life, as well as inspiring friends and family. For my video I tried to find the most intensive moments of the past two years and it was quite a search. Funny, that most of those moments are saved way better in my head than on a hard drive - those are the kind of moments I'm hoping to find in Norway. Moments that stay forever. I'm Max from Germany and I'm in love with life. As I structured my life more and more around my bike and sports in the past few years, I really got to appreciate what that means, not just sportwise, but from a lifestyle perspective: Sleeping in dodgy vans, but being with amazing people. Getting wet as a dog in the streets on the climb up, but enjoying the most amazing views on top. Just a great life in general - and Norway fits right in there. Cheers!

I got into riding through my Dad, following his tracks on my 20" wheeled 'Dirt Squirt' through the woods of Exmoor in the UK. Years later, after continued riding and enjoyment in XC, Downhill and Enduro, it was time to go to university. Having researched many options on courses I eventually decided the basis of my choice was where I was going to live and how accessible adventure would be. For this reason I chose to live in the most mountainous part of England, the Lake District! A course in Outdoor Leadership didn't seem all that bad either but I still managed to neglect studies to go out in any weather doing anything I thought was going to push my boundaries. My riding and general adventurism has improved beyond belief, I go back home to 'the tricky trail' and its a breeze. Now after three years of Lake District life and riding I feel like I need a new set of mountains to throw me and my bike down. This phantasmagorical opportunity will allow for me and my bro to experience true adventure together, without us having to sell our kidneys to get our adventure fix. This film of 'A Normal Day in the Lakes' shows me and my adventuring pal Dan scaling Helvellyn's 'Swirral Edge' in the snow. (We got many people with crampons and axes asking us if we were lost). We knew what we were doing and plummeted down 'Sticks Pass' in the white stuff, whooping and hollering all the way. I threw ideas at my 'up and coming sports photographer friend' James France who helped out with the filming side and I have to say I am very proud of the result! I hope this has shown my hunger for adventure and challenge in just a minute and look forward to hearing from the Bikester and Pinkbike team.
