Ultimate Adventure clip submission

Adventure is breaking the routine, the wrong turn, the wild over the domestic, the random over the routine. Though I seek the wilderness, sometimes it can be found a lot closer than you initially think. In the words of the writer Robert MacFarlane, “The weed thrusting through a crack in a pavement, the tree root impudently cracking a carapace of tarmac: these were wild signs as much as the storm wave and the snowflake.” Although I’ve been lucky enough to experience some great adventures in Europe, North and South America, this film is about a small scale canoe, bike and bivvy adventure, just a short diversion between where I live and where I work, in one of the cracks between a busy work and home life. Am I the ultimate adventurer? That’s not for me to judge, but it’s definitely the biggest adventure I could have had with the time and resources to hand on the day!
