On July 6th, 2005 fellow business owner, Ed Natyshak of Summit Health & Fitness, was seriously injured in a mountain bike accident. Ed is 37 years old and has made Nelson his home for the past 12 years. His passions have been his business, mountain biking and the community. Ed has always shared his outlook of a healthy, positive lifestyle, and he is without a doubt Nelson’s loudest and proudest ambassador. Dedicated to making Nelson a stronger community, he is an integral part of our home.Ed loves Nelson, heart and soul.
Ed is facing the largest challenge of his life, a spinal cord injury that may leave him paralyzed from the chest down. He is at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre in Vancouver where he is to begin his long road to recovery. Those of you who know Ed realize he would never ask for help.
So we are asking.
We are raising funds to help Ed, who has no disability insurance. We are seeking businesses who wish to participate in W ED’s day.
W’ED’s day will take place later September 14th. On this day we are asking that businesses make a commitment to donate a set amount or portion of the sales from that one day to Ed. The following businesses have already made firm commitments:
Hemp and Company - $500 or higher based on W’ED’s day
Sidewinders - $1200 or more based on W’ED’s day
Nelson Animal Hospital - $1000
Central Bark - $1000
Amorak Transport - $1500
Canadian 2 for 1 Pizza - $500
Bia Boro - $500
Should you not be able to participate in W’ED’s day, there is an opportunity to donate much needed product that will be auctioned off at Ed’s LOUD auction late September.
On behalf of ED, we thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Ed’s Volunteer Fundraising Crew
