The south-eastern French area of Provence is probably most famous for its outstanding cuisine, rich history and warm weather. Seems to me like a rather nice place to ride some bikes, eat some cheese, drink a couple of glasses of wine and just enjoy the good life. And after chasing the endless summer in NZ, it was an easy choice for me to simply keep traveling as the opportunity was given. Together with Florent Carreyron and photographer Jérémy Bernard, I set out on a 17 day trip with the aim of exploring historical places in southern France and Andorra and to create a film with versatility in both riding and nature. The goal was to meet old friends as well as making new ones, ride bikes together and experience their local trails. The trip started in Marseille and then took us to the black dirt of Terres Noires in Digne les Bains, the golden ochre singletrack in Apt, the red chutes in the loose dirt of Lac du Salagou all the way to Casamanya, the highest peak in the Principality of Andorra.

The first portion of riding reminds me of the old Kranked videos!
Great riders, great edit !
Just one regret : you could have chose at least a spot at Marseilles, I was a bit disappointed not to see L'Etoile, la Sainte Victoire, le Garlaban, le Régagnas, Figuerolles, or La Roque d'Anthéron !
Next time ?
true.
